Passport and Nucleus both use a plu cross reference number to attach a bottle deposit. In the below example look at PLU 210:
So now we look up the PLU number 210 in S2k and see the following:
Then look at the Price book to see what price this PLU is setup:
Now to select items to use this bottle deposit - so look in your price book:
Remember you are NOT selecting the PLU code here but the code that is used to cross ref the Bottle Deposit:
Remember that when we sell multi items i.e. a 6 pack of coke (6 individual cans of Coke) the bottle deposit is actually 6 times an individual so in this case in the setup we use a different PLU code:
So in this case we ALWAYS use the Bottle Deposit cross ref as L24/1 but for a single pack we will send the code 202 and for a 6 pack we will send the code 204 to the POS, so when a single coke is rung up we add $0.05 and when a 6 pack is rung up we add $ 0.30
And if we needed a 12 pack we would use 12 and 205 as the cross ref.
