Define C-Store Department Profit Margin Ratios

You can figure out your profit margin by department for accurate Cost of Goods to be sent to QuickBooks. Simply go to Inventory Menu and select “Define C-Store Department Profit Ratio”

 

 

To figure out the average profit for one department, simply click on the department on the list and hit “Calculate Selected” at the top:

 

 

This screen appears:

 

 

Pick the date range you want and hit “Preview” to see what percentage comes up.

 

 

If you are satisfied with the profit margin and want to use it, then hit “OK”. Your profit margin will be set for that department.

You can also do all the departments by selected the “Calculate All Departments” button at the top of the Define Profit Margins by Department screen.
