1. Run QB P&L and General Ledger for the date range you are posting PRIOR to posting and print it out. The P&L should be blank and the GL will have data as the data is carried forward.
2. Post the data from S2k to QB and then re run the same reports from QB and compare. If reposting data- the #s should stay the same, if they don’t, esp. if they double, it means that duplicate transactions have been created. This means that the S2k reference for the transaction has somehow changed. Although this does not happen very often (less than 1%).
3. Once
the SDK is installed create a new QB database (completely blank chart of
accounts) and then test the connection using the Sync Chart of Accounts button
as shown below. This menu is accessed by clicking on the “Post Data to
Accounting button and will confirm a good connection and setup the approval
process for access :
and then
:
This should request approval to
connect to the QB, pls approve for full access to QB.
1) Once
test is complete setup the QB settings as shown below:
These setting except the “Select a
QuickBooks Company Data File” can be left as shown above. S2k can connect to the
QB database either when QB is open or not and if you are running multi stations,
S2k can connect to multi QB databases using the option shown below in this
section. (If you cannot see this option slide the window bar to
expose:
Integrating with
multi QB accounts is complex and requires assistance from the S2k Tech dept.
Now we can start creating COA, Vendors and Customers in QB
and sending sales data over to QB.
