To access the S2k client you will need to make certain that it is running. On some machines we run this as a System Service which means it is NOT visible so you will need to manually start the client, and look for the icon in the bottom right icon tray:
And then click on the icon below to see the actual client:
Open your S2k client AT THE STATION you want to review and find the following:
Under general setting there are 3 important default directories that S2k will normally setup for you automatically and these are:
1. File Path of EDI files – this is where your EDI invoices MUST be stored to process
2. File path of the EFT files – this is ONLY to be used when instructed by S2k and is used to process special oil company fuel invoices, credit card data and EFT data from the oil company. Again this is data that sent directly to you to import from the oil company.
3. File path of DEX files – S2k can import files that are downloaded from compatible DEX handheld vendors like Frito Lay, Pepsi and Hostess. This is an option in S2k – Pls contact us for more details.
Once you understand where these directories are located, when you get an email attachments containing either a supplier invoice or oil company documents that needs processing, put the file into the correct directory based on the type of document as described above. Once this attachment is saved in the directory you should S2k client process it on the log. NOTE: Some S2k client’s logs are turned off due to compatibility issues, this normally is only on GSite POS sites, and in this case you will NOT see this log record. That is normal.
